The Value of a Kambo Intention

There are several reasons that brings a person to Kambo, and each reason is unique to the individual person and his/her life situation. While some may find themselves drawn to Kambo out of curiosity, most are on a dedicated path to heal some area of their life—emotionally, spiritually, energetically, physically, and/or mentally. Truly understanding your reason for doing Kambo is the first step in setting an Kambo intention.

Asking Questions

To help set your Kambo intention, ask yourself some questions. Be patient, as it may take some time for an answer to surface.

·        With what do I need immediate help?

·        What needs to shift for me to feel more balance in my life?

·        Where am I stuck? What blockages am I currently up against?

·        Is there a dilemma/decision that I’m confused about? Do I need clarity?

·        What do I need to detox?

·        What work am I willing to do afterward to integrate and maintain my experience?

Contemplation

Asking any of the above questions (or even our own questions) will help you begin to think deeply about where you are and what changes you want in your life. As you ask yourself one or more of the questions, allow yourself time to truly contemplate what your answer is.

Sit with it in silence, and let the question settle in your heart. Be patient and give your heart time to give you the best answer.  The answer will come, and that will be your Kambo intention.

Right Focus

Kambo is an “ordeal” experience and can be overwhelming to the mind as the sensations arise in the body. Having a Kambo intention will allow you to redirect your focus and help you remember why you came to the frog in the first place.

The intention you focus on will also help you with your integration process. Think of your intention as a pact or deal you are making with yourself to do the work to stay focused during Kambo, and as a reminder afterward of the work that is needed to continue to grow and become better.

Setting the Intention

It’s best to keep your Kambo intention very simple and come with a small issue to work on. Coming with too many expectations or wanting to see too many changes too quickly will just leave you disappointed. Figure out what is the most important thing you need to work on and set your Kambo intention around that. Don’t second guess your heart, and don’t make it harder than it needs to be.

I am here to help you set your intention. Just reach out to me and I can help you narrow down your focus and come up with the most important and relevant intention for you at this time in your life. And remember, there is always time for more healing and more Kambo, so let’s begin with small steps and small intentions. 😊
